What's Looking Good

SNOWDROP FESTIVAL

by | Jan 29, 2025 | Uncategorized

Only a couple of days to go before we welcome visitors to see our snowdrops as part of the NGS Snowdrop Festival. We are praying for some sunny days to make the snowdrops glisten and lift everyone’s spirits. It has been so wet recently that we will not be able to use our field for parking and space for parking will be very limited. For that reason we decided to limit numbers and ask visitors to book online in advance on the NGS website: ngs.org.uk

We hope that this will work well and people will not be put off. The website is easy to use and the garden is listed under Find a Garden/south east/Knowle Hill Farm

The snowdrops are rather late this year but there are a good number in flower and some of the special varieties which in a normal year would be over are looking good which is a bonus. John Gray is one which i particularly love. It is fairly short in stature but the flowers are huge and a bright clear white. It has grown slowly here in the sixteen years since it was first planted and now forms a nice clump but it is not yet robust enough to be divided
