Our view of the Kentish Weald looks wonderful at any time of year but perhaps especially so in winter. We have not had many frosts this winter but I managed to catch this image from the bedroom window by getting up early one morning.

Now every day sees new snowdrops appearing. The earliest here is Peter Gatehouse which flowers in December. This is followed by Donald Sims – an elegant snowdrop which is flowering now. My absolute favourites early in the year are Mrs Macnamara and Three Ships....
